Our Astronomy Necklace series measures the distances of Space, with each bead representing an approximate unit of distance. Each necklace is a roughly-proportional wearable astrometric chart, with stone, glass, and shell beads representing the sun and planets; a decorative cosmogram, inspiring thoughts of the vastness of Space.
For example, in our Solar System Necklace series, each tiny black glass bead represents approximately ~20 million miles / ~32 million kilometers of Space, measuring each planet’s distance from the Sun.
